How to make the reservation
Step1 : Arrival Details
For the reservation, we will be asking you to complete a contract which is very easy to fill in with Name, Passport Nr. and Arrival Date. Once I get the contract by email, the apartment is reserved for you.
It is important that you give details of you arrival time at the airport of Rio de Janeiro and departure time so that we can organize everything for you. Mr Luciano and his wife, administrator of the building for more than 20 years, we will be waiting for you according to the time you mention in the contract and considering that it takes 1 hour to go through the custom control at the airport and 30 minutes by taxi to the apartment. The apartment is located in a very popular area of Copacabana and therefore the taxi driver will know immediately how to get there. The journey takes around 25 minutes. When you arrive at the apartment, you need to press the ring bell where the number "Z100" is written and Mr Luciano will open the doors for you and show you the apartment. Step 2: 1st Payment
We will be asking you to pay 50% of the total rent to secure the reservation by bank transfer or by paypal.
Email address for the payment using Paypal: christianmayer999@hotmail.com Step 3: Payment at arrival and Keys The payment of the other 50% should be made at your at arrival and after Mr Luciano shows you the apartment and delivers you the keys to the apartment. You need to take with you the first page of the contract signed by you as well as a photocopy of your passport. We do this with all guest for security reasons. Please do not forget this as we still believe that formalities are important! Others: In case you need any help locally , Mr Luciano and his wife are available for you. They live in the same building, they are very nice, honest and willing to help. They do not speak English, but their daughter. However, I am always available by sms, email or mobile. Keys when you leave: With regards to your departure, please delivery the keys to Mr. Luciano or leave the keys on the kitchen table and close the door without locking it. Internet access There are plenty of internet cafes around the area. Supermarket Supermarket 100 meters from the apartment there is a huge supermarket open 24 hours where you can buy food and other items in case you want do some basic shopping after your arrival. Security Security For security reasons, please lock all the doors behind you. In the building there are very strict rules regarding security. There are 2 elevators. After 6pm and Sundays you can only use the secondary one. These rules were set up by Mr. Luciano. So far, we have never had any problem in the building.

It is very well equip and is stylishly decorated (my girlfriend wanted to know if you yourself did the decorating?). Mr Luciano was very friendly, and though we struggled to understand each other, he always tried his best to be helpful. We went to Buzios for a weekend. It is different to Rio since it is much quieter. Perfect for a short break. Our accommodation in Buzios was however not up to the standard we had gotten used to in Copacabana. I did manage to see the game between Palmeiras and Fluminense at Maracana. Though the football match itself was a bit disappointing (the rest of the crowd agreed), the experience of being at this great stadium was wonderful (especially for an ardent football fan). I loved Rio for the combination of city life, beach life and all the cultural and natural beauty. I will be recommending the city (and your apartment) to all my friends. August 2004 Sorry we have not been in touch earlier. I have just yesterday got back to UK and Teresa is in Brasil for a further 2 weeks. We very much enjoyed our stay in Brasil and especially found your apartment very nicely presented, very clean and tidy and we liked the design which is exactly how we would do it ourselves. Snr Luciano was also most helpful and we gave him a decent tip when we left. As it happened we only stayed there for 4 nights although we paid for 5 nights, because we could not chnage our flights to Brasilia wihout incurring a susbtantial extra cost, but we thought it preferable not to try and renegogiate with you! Especially since you made the kind offer for us to leave our suitcases there while we were away in Ilha Grande.The only disappointing thing was that the weather was poor and old, and we had cloud and rain and had to buy some warm clothes, and no time at all could be spent on the beach.
